"World's Most Powerful Facial"
Deep Pore Cleansing!
Indeed. I definitely don't recommend using this too often. If you have alright skin, use this once a week and slightly more often for problem skin. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. It is important to restore moisture to your skin afterwards - I like to apply a soothing sheet mask or sleeping pack.

Sun Dried, No Fragrances, No Animal Testing, No Animal Products, No Additives.

100% Natural Calcium Bentonite (Green) Clay
Great for acne and pimples - drawing out impurities. You can even put this as a drying lotion on fresh pimples overnight to dry it out.

Feel Your Face Pulsate!
I felt my skin pulsate as it starts to dry. You will feel the tingling but it's nothing too bad, at least for me. If you have sensitive skin, please do a patch test before applying it all over your face.

Possible Uses:
Facials, acne, body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks, chilled clay for knee packs and insect bites.

Directions:
Mix Clay with equal parts of raw apple cider vinegar and/or water.
*Use a non-metal bowl and utensil.*
Stir the mixture well to a smooth paste. Add more Clay or liquid as needed.
Apply 1/4 in. to 1/2 in. to the face or other area.
Let it dry for 5-10 minutes for delicate skin and 15-20 minutes for normal skin.
*You will feel a pulling and tightening sensation. Feel Your Face Pulsate!*
Remove Clay by washing with warm water.

Slight redness of the skin is normal and will disappear in about 30 to 60 minutes. You can see the extend of my redness in the demo below.

Before going on to the demo, I have normal / combination skin and I do get pimples and texture underneath my skin. Accordingly to the beautician that I did facial with, she mentioned that I have dry skin on the surface, but oily underneath. That explains the texture on my cheeks - lots of built up sebum.

2 teaspoons of the Clay.

The Indian Healing Clay is best paired with Apple Cider Vinegar for maximum results, as it is known for treating breakouts. Many people use the vinegar as toner before skincare. You can also use water if you don't have it.

Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar 473ml

2 teaspoons of Apple Cider Vinegar.

The mixture will begin to fizzle.

This mixture is thicker then how I usually do it as I added lesser vinegar. If it is your first time using this mask, I would recommend adding more vinegar to get a smoother paste.

Note: A thicker mixture is a lot more intense and my face becomes redder after the facial. I only do this once in a while as I prefer not to strip my skin too much.

Here are the tools I use - Sigma F60 Foundation Brush and a 5ml tsp. No need to get expensive foundation brushes, this one was just sitting around as I never use this kind of brush to apply foundation. I feel that this brush is too thick and dense for applying mask so I recommend just getting any cheap mask brush.

Apply a generous layer onto your skin - 1/4 to 1/2 inch. Avoid the area under your eyes! I usually apply a much thicker layer where my skin isn't peeking through; but today as I'm using a thicker mixture, I only did a thin layer.

After 20 minutes. It gets super tight and I can barely make any facial expression.

Rinse off with warm water - easier to break down the clay. As you can see, the redness is mainly on my cheeks and nose. After this detox mask, my skin feels much smoother. If I were to stick to my regular mixture with more vinegar, I actually don't experience much redness at all.

Note: I don't recommend washing this off in the sink as I'm worried that much clay will clog the pipes so best if you do this before a bath and wash it off in the shower.

You can follow up with either a soothing and hydrating sheet mask. I use many different brands but so far I have been liking - My Beauty Diary's Black Obsidian Moisturizing Black Mask and Platinum Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Mask. Also Leaders Insolution's Aloe Soothing Skin Renewal Mask and Aquaringer Skin Clinic Mask.

Verdict:
Using this weekly definitely helped to control my recent breakout. I had been experiencing a horrible breakout on my cheeks and along my hairline for some weird reason. I guess June was just a bad month for me. I still have scabs here and there and some texture on my cheeks :( sadly. I am going makeup free for a few days so I can let my skin breathe and take a break.

If you are looking for a nice clay detox mask, I highly recommend you picking this up. It is so affordable and you get such a huge tub. Everything is 100% natural so it can work for sensitive skin as well.

xoxo
