KathleenLights did another collab with Colourpop Cosmetics and this time its their Ultra Satin Lips and Creme Gel Liner. The USL has an amazing formula and I much prefer these over their UML - which can be very drying and just isn't my choice for a day to day lip product. I was very excited to see the shades she came up with as the two pink ones are so wearable! Since I do not own any brown lip colours, I decided to get all of them! I will be sharing lip, arm and eye swatches of these products in this post. Let's get going..

Here's a swatch of all the products.

L to R
Mr Bing, Point Zero, November, Alyssa

Here's one taken with flash.

Swatched some of the similar shades that I own.

Formula wise, these Ultra Satin Lips are amazing. They are not drying at all and goes on very smooth without drawing attention to any dryness. They do dry down slightly after application and even though these aren't transfer proof, the colours still stay on the lips for a good few hours wear with talking and eating. I have another post on these Ultra Satin Lips on my blog here.

Unfortunately, I received a bad batch of the applicator on the shade November. You can see on the circled part where the material is sticking out and it makes the application process much more tedious. Nothing too serious though, I was still able to get it on nicely.

ALYSSA

A neutral dusty pink. This is my perfect my lip but better (MLBB) everyday pink. I foresee myself reaching for this very often as this just goes with any makeup look and outfit.

I guess many of you guys will be curious how Alyssa and November looks side by side on the lips. So here I swatched Alyssa on the top and November on the bottom.

NOVEMBER

A mid-tone warm peach pink. This is kinda like a muted neon shade. It gives you that pop of colour and add life to your entire look without being too dramatic. Which is something perfect for me since I am so boring when it comes to lip colour choices. I will definitely be reaching for this for any special events or dates!

POINT ZERO

A cool toned grey brown. Something that I definitely do not have in my collection. It looks super cool toned and gives me a goth vibe. Not sure when I will be really wearing this out but I am already looking forward - probably a night out or party.

With Flash

A rich warm brown in a matte finish. It has more of a reddish undertone compared to Stomper. It paired really well with my warm and bronzey look that I had on in all the photos. I applied the liner on my lower lash line connecting it to the top to create a soft wing that I blended out with a wing liner brush.

This is how it looks like with nothing on the lids. No falsies, just mascara.

Not sure if I will be able to decide my favourite shade between these two as I love them both! But I would have to say Alyssa just because I see myself wearing this a lot more. November on the other hand will be my pick for any dates or events with friends for that pop of colour!

LOL.. what craziness do I have going on here. My hair is in a mess! Probably too excited from swatching all these lippes!

Did you get your hands on these? Let me know which is your favourite!

    1. I can't say which is better as they look quite different on me. You can see from my comparison swatch - Echo Park is a lot warmer and darker whereas Alyssa is a cool toned light pink. I personally prefer Alyssa on my skin tone as a go-to everyday lip colour :) xoxo

    1. Hey, I'm around a NC15 in MAC. I do not own any MAC foundations but after looking at comparison swatches online that's the closest to my skin tone :)

    1. Frida is definitely more peachy and has a very slight neon undertone. Not very similar on my lips! You can refer to my lippie stix swatches post :)

  6. Which one do you think closest to Solow? Alyssa or November? Thanks in advance :)

    1. I have all three of those shades so I just did a mini swatch myself; Alyssa is closer to Solow in terms of how pink they are. Alyssa is a little more dusty pink than Solow and November is slightly more of a coral pink compared to the other two. But it's really hard to pick because it seems like if you mixed Alyssa and November together the shade would be Solow. Hope this helps :)

    2. Yeap! I agree with Sam. Alyssa is cooler and Solow will pretty much be somewhere in between November and Alyssa :)
