Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal | Review and Swatches
Friday, March 18, 2016
Since the post I did on the Jaclyn Hill x Becca Holiday Palette in Champagne Glow, I decided to get a full size pressed shimmering skin perfector from Becca as well. But I had such a hard time deciding between Moonstone and Opal (S$58). I made two separate trips down to Sephora (yes! our Sephora finally carries Becca products and I can't wait for them to expand the line and bring in foundations etc) and still couldn't decide after staring at it for so long #firstworldproblems. I googled potential dupes for both shades and Moonstone is actually a very popular dupe for The Balm's Mary Lou. So since I already own that one, I decided to go for Opal. I know Opal suits medium skin tones better but I just got suck into its unique shade.
Packaging is very sturdy but I have heard that these skin perfectors break quite easily. So I guess I will not be traveling with these babies.

Here's how Opal looks like beside Pearl, Champagne Pop and Blushed Copper.
Here's a swatch of them side by side.
Opal is a golden champagne pearly shade. This looks very close to my skin tone so I do agree that it suits medium to deep skin tones better but I really love the undertone in Opal so I sometimes mix it with Pearl to lighten it and it looks amazing.
Pearl is a soft luminescent white. Fair skin girls will loveeee this!
Champagne Pop is a soft white gold with a pinky peach undertone. Flattering on almost all skin tones.
Blushed Copper is a copper bronze shade. I tried this as a blush topper but it was way too dark for me. I can work with it as an eyeshadow though. Very beautiful as a lid shade.
Here's a side by side comparison with a few other highlighters that I own.
